Hawk Spirit's Animal Energy of the Week: The Dog (Friendship and Loyalty)

Sasha, this name means the defender of mankind. When I embrace the energy of this name, I feel a holiness come over me. The beautiful lady you see in front of you is the keeper of this name. I rescued her two years ago from a transitional life. When I bought this girl in it wasn't love at first sight. We really didn't like each other.

Sasha is not a flexible dog. She is a picky-eater, independent, and very assertive. All common to her Chow Chow roots. Yes, she is mixed with something else but I don't know what. I let you know when I find out. The first year and a half were with her were quite difficult and I almost gave her up. Almost.

You see even though Sasha has her quarks, she is also an amazing guard dog, loving, fun, respectful, beautiful and loyal. I couldn't ask for a better dog. In the two years, since owning Sasha I learned a lot about friendship and loyalty.

Now I know some friendships dwindle after a time. I, myself have released many friendships. Not because I gave up on them but because he/she gave up on what I thought was something special. I was not going to put forth anymore energy on friendships that were totally one-sided. The resentment and sadness that emerged from these experiences wasn't something I wanted to retain in my spiritual self.

With Sasha, though, I felt an extraordinary evolution of the heart. Yes, it was very difficult to love her(and quite possibly for her to love me, I'm not an easy one) but we were both willing to work at it. I recall sitting on a bus, crying wondering should I send her back to the pound. Then I passed by the grooming salon where I took her for her first beauty day. She was so beautiful and happy. Jumping up and down. My little peanut.

I made the decision right then and there to hold on to her. She was my friend and I loved her. From hence forth as the story goes, Sasha is still here. Not as fussy with food but still a pain in the butt to take on a walk. But that's ok. Why? Because I know that we will always be there for each other, our bond is undying. It was written in the stars.

While I was writing this story I felt the Divine Trinity near me, along with the angels. If one has a strong spiritual defense system, he/she will understand the fluidity of this energy. There is nothing more beautiful and divine than knowing that one is protected and loved. This is how I feel with God, my parrots and Sasha. I hope that everyone is connected to God in this manner.

Unlike Sammy, Sasha is a quiet, introspective soul so her questions will be short and sweet. Well, maybe not so much.

1. Do you feel connected to your spiritual energy? If you do, are you listening to the messages that are being given to you? What can you do to become more in tuned to this vibration?

2. What is your relationship with God? How do you feel about Him? Is He a protective energy, a genie, or unfair and wicked? Do you have an unconditional loyalty to the Divine?

3. How are your friendships? No, not your dating life, spouse, paramour, fling, etc... Your friend-ships. Are they strong and worth your time or is it time to move on? Remember, if you're doing all the work then it's a "single-serving friendship". Move on, you have better things to do with your time.

5. Are you a good friend? Be honest with yourself on this one. A good friend is one who is available, loving, honest and supportive. If your missing one of these qualities the good friend title goes more towards acquaintance. Who are you to your friends?

4. Patience. Do you have it or are you losing your mind at every turn? Read the definition of patience and see if you can follow it to the letter for a week. If the Hawk could do it, so can you. That's why Sasha is still here.
