Hawk Spirit's Animal Energy of the Week: The Vulture (Energy & Treasure)

Hi Folks! It's been awhile since the Hawk has chatted with you. She was unwell and needed some healing time. Nevertheless, throughout her time of respite a great friend of hers came to visit. He is one of the greatest energy users and scavengers on the planet, the vulture.

I know, not an attractive fellow but quite friendly, engaging and wise. In the bird kingdom, the vulture is the only bird that uses the least energy to fly. It has thermal sensors within its feathers that allow the wind to be its force. Unlike other birds, the vulture rarely flaps it's wings. It just glides to the energy of the jet stream.

When I go for my walks I often see vultures flying around. I admire them because of how they use their flight energy. It is quite meditative and relaxing. The vulture also inhibits a trait that is seen in very few animals. It sees treasure in what we would consider garbage.

No, not many of us would eat a rotten carcass but the vulture sees it differently. "I didn't have to hunt it down and nobody else wants it, so it's all mine. Good times." No energy wasted. Also, vultures know what parts of the carcass are full of nutrients. There diet consists of mindful eating. They don't eat just to eat.

Now, there are several types of vultures. The one you see up there is the Black Vulture. It represents sight. How one see things. Perception. Looking at a situation through a different lens. Taking one's time in making a decision. Being strategic. Remember on man's garbage is another man's treasure.

Another familiar vulture you may see around the way is the Turkey Vulture. This vulture has brown feathers and a red head. Smell is the sense that leads this bird. His nose takes him to his next treasure. Remember, that the sense of smell can also indicate caution. Do you use your sense of smell like the vulture? Or does it need some tweaking.

Before the vulture fly's off, I would also like to add that the crone (witch) has been known to take shape as the vulture. So, if you're feeling witchy or if you feel someone has been witchy towards you. Investigate the energy, especially if you feel someone is being witchy towards you. That's never a good thing. Never forget that The Hawk can help you bring light to the dark side of the things. Darkness is one thing she doesn't fear.
